Brete (2016) foi criada durante Residência Artística na cidade de Silveira Martins (RS) junto com outros artistas-pesquisadores vinculados ao Grupo de Pesquisa em Artes: Momentos Específicos, liderado pela Professora Doutora Rebeca Stumm. O contexto situado de sua produção estabelece relações com a arquitetura da cidade, especificamente o prédio em que residiamos. Ele fora construído para servir de abrigo para um convento e, porteriormente, tornou-se uma escola sob a direção das freiras residentes. Na época o edifício estava bem preservado, embora não fosse mais habitado. Os corredores estreitos não diferiam em nada dos bretes que os bois de abate são submetidos. A meia luz esculpia uma penumbra onírica, na qual o corpo-vaca podia desafiar a lógica das relações esperadas. Ele se transformava em corpo vagante, corpo-aranha, escalava as paredes, se deslocava por elas, ocupava os espaços em outras lógicas de uso.

Brete (2016) was created during an Artistic Residency in the city of Silveira Martins (RS) together with other artist-researchers linked to the Research Group on Arts: Momentos Específicos, led by Dr.ª Rebeca Stumm. The situated context of its production establishes relationships with the architecture of the city, specifically the building in which we were immersed. It had been built to serve as shelter for a convent and, later, became a school under the direction of the resident nuns. At the time, the building was well preserved, although it was no longer inhabited. The narrow corridors were no different from the chutes used for slaughtering cattle. The half-light sculpted a dreamlike shadow, in which the cow-body could defy the logic of expected relationships. It transformed itself into a wandering body, a spider-body, climbing the walls, moving along them, occupying the spaces in other logics of use.
