Em 2019 uma mudança de paisagens acontece, marcando minha mudança para a Ilha de Florianópolis. A vida em meio ao continente, as pastagens e as colinas, dá lugar à vastidão azul e as faixas de areia. Carcaça (2020) surge dessa mudança. É uma performance e videoperformance produzida do encontro do corpo com a praia, com os resíduos dos corpos animais cuspidos à areia. Com Carcaça busquei tecer relações com a paisagem e com as lógicas da vida-vivendo na Barra da Lagoa, dando maior espaço para a performance ambiental – em outras palavras, o corpo se compõe com o contexto que o precede, com o banho das ondas, com as putrefações dos corpos marinhos na faixa de areia, com a imensidão do mar a redesenhar a paisagem em mutação.

Esta produção integrou a Exposição Coletiva Fabulações de Nós no Museu da Escola (MESC, Florianópolis, SC), integrando a programação do Festival Internacional de Arte e Cultura José Luís Finkler de Florianópolis (FIK – 2020).

“Ainda que no encontro entre terra e mar resida toda poesia das imagens do infinito, o movimento tragante do oceano, de tudo o que a terra cospe às suas fronteiras, faz da praia um campo limítrofe. As forças duras encontram a sinuosidade. Neste espaço de eterna mutação alquímica, terra e mar, uma linha desenha a fronteira entre dois universos distintos, duas energias diferentes. A onda que vem não é a mesma onda que volta, um corpo que vem ao mar não é o mesmo corpo que dele retorna.” (Texto que acompanhou a exposição do trabalho).

In 2019, a change of landscapes occurred, marking my move to Florianópolis Island. Life in the middle of the continent, the pastures and the hills, gave way to the vast blue and the strips of sand. Carcaça (2020) emerged from this change. It is a performance and videoperformance produced by the encounter of the body with the beach, with the remains of animal bodies spat onto the sand. With Carcaça I sought to weave relationships with the landscape and with the logic of life-living in Barra da Lagoa, giving more space to environmental performance – in other words, the body is composed with the context that precedes it, with the bathing of the waves, with the putrefaction of marine bodies on the strip of sand, with the immensity of the sea redesigning the changing landscape.

This production was part of the Collective Exhibition Fabulaçãos de Nós at the Museu da Escola (MESC, Florianópolis, SC), as part of the program of the José Luís Finkler Florianópolis International Art and Culture Festival (FIK – 2020).

“Although all the poetry of images of infinity resides in the meeting between land and sea, the swallowing movement of the ocean, of everything that the land spits out at its borders, makes the beach a borderland. Hard forces meet sinuosity. In this space of eternal alchemical mutation, land and sea, a line draws the border between two distinct universes, two different energies. The wave that comes is not the same wave that returns, a body that goes to the sea is not the same body that returns from it.” (Text that accompanied the exhibition of the work).
